Introduction

Meet Vicky

Vicky is the founder of Vicky Agency, a funding consultancy built for the organizations and creators whose ideas deserve to be seen, and funded. For nearly a decade, she has worked behind the scenes of social impact: writing the proposals that quietly unlocked millions in federal, state and foundation grants, structuring the crowdfunding campaigns that gave independent creators their first real budgets, and coaching founders through the slow, deliberate work of building a fundraising practice that compounds over time.

Her clients are nonprofits running shelters, filmmakers staging their first productions, technologists raising seed capital on Wefunder, tabletop designers launching on Gamefound, and families starting GoFundMe campaigns in some of the hardest moments of their lives. The throughline across all of them is the same: a story worth telling, and a need for someone who knows how to translate that story into the language funders, platforms and communities respond to.

Why Vicky exists

Why Vicky Agency was created

Vicky was created because the funding world is quietly unequal. The organizations that secure the largest grants are often the ones with the biggest development teams, full-time grant writers, in-house researchers, communications staff and consultants on retainer. The organizations doing the most necessary work in their communities frequently have none of that. They have a director wearing five hats, a board of volunteers, and a calendar full of deadlines no one has time to chase.

Vicky built Vicky Agency to close that gap. The firm operates as an embedded fundraising partner, not a vendor sending templates, not a freelancer passing through, but a strategic collaborator who learns the organization, the leadership and the work as if it were her own. The intent is simple: to give small and mid-sized teams access to the same calibre of funding strategy that the largest institutions take for granted.

Mission

Our mission

Vicky Agency exists to help mission-driven organizations and independent creators secure the funding they need to do the work only they can do. We do this through rigorous research, honest writing, and a refusal to send anything to a funder that we wouldn't stake our reputation on. Every proposal we author, every campaign we structure and every research report we deliver is built to win, but more importantly, built to be true.

We believe funding is not a favor extended to the worthy. It is a contract between an organization with a clear plan and a funder looking for the right partner. Our job is to make that contract obvious, specific and compelling.

Vision

Our vision

We imagine a funding landscape where access to capital is no longer the gating constraint on important work. Where a youth shelter in Long Beach, an independent filmmaker in Atlanta, a board game studio in Berlin and a first-generation founder in Lagos can all approach a funder, public, private or crowd, with the same confidence and the same quality of strategy behind them.

Vicky is small on purpose. We grow by deepening relationships with the organizations we serve, not by maximizing throughput. Every client is a long-term partnership, and every win compounds the next.

Funding philosophy

Our funding philosophy

We work from four principles. First, fundraising is a craft, not a hustle. Long-term outcomes follow consistent, well-researched, well-written work , not last-minute applications and templated language. Second, every funder is a reader. They read fast, they read tired, and they read with a stack of other applications on the desk. Our writing respects that reality. Third, the strongest proposals start with the strongest research. Before we draft anything, we know who funds work like yours, why they fund it, what they have funded in the last three years and what they pointedly avoid. And fourth, integrity is the entire long game. We will not overpromise on your behalf, oversell your numbers, or shape a story to a funder that you cannot comfortably stand behind for the next five years.

Experience

Who we work with

Vicky's work spans an unusually broad range of clients for a single consultancy. On the nonprofit side, that has meant federal grant submissions for housing, youth services, behavioural health and community development; foundation proposals for arts, education and family support; and operational grants that have quietly kept critical programs running for another year. The wins under Vicky's stewardship include a $1.2M federal award, a $500K youth shelter grant, a $323,570 emergency housing grant, a $240,000 opioid abatement grant, a $210,715 community health grant, $200,250 in ARPA funding, $130,363 for the Ontario Autism Program, $65,000 from the Wells Fargo Open for Business Fund and many more.

On the creator side, Vicky has structured campaigns across every major crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter for makers and game designers, Indiegogo for hardware and film, Wefunder for early-stage startups raising community capital, Gamefound for tabletop publishers, and GoFundMe for individuals navigating real life. Each platform has its own physics, and our work accounts for that: pre-launch list building, page architecture, pledge tier design, stretch goal sequencing, update cadence and post-campaign fulfillment strategy.

For startups and growth-stage founders, the engagement often blends grant research with equity crowdfunding strategy and traditional fundraiser preparation. For filmmakers and artists, the work is more frequently project-based, production grants, fiscal sponsorships, distribution partnerships and community fundraising. For game creators, it is platform strategy, community building and the long pre-launch runway that decides whether a campaign opens to a crowd or to silence.

Commitment

Our commitment to access

Vicky is built on the belief that funding opportunities should not be hidden behind paywalls, networks or institutional knowledge that only a handful of organizations possess. A significant portion of our work is grant research, surfacing the federal, state, foundation and corporate opportunities that our clients would have no realistic way of finding on their own. We deliver that research as decision-ready intelligence: not a spreadsheet of every grant in the world, but a curated, ranked, deadline-aware roadmap of the opportunities that genuinely fit.

We extend the same approach to crowdfunding. Most independent creators do not fail because their idea is wrong. They fail because no one taught them what a Kickstarter pre-launch list actually requires, why Indiegogo flexible funding has long-term reputational costs, how Wefunder investors read a deck, what Gamefound backers expect in update three, or how a GoFundMe campaign can be reframed when growth stalls. Our role is to make that knowledge accessible, in plain language, before the campaign goes live.

Working together

How engagements work

Every Vicky engagement begins with a private consultation. We listen first, read your materials, look at the funding landscape around your work, and return with an honest assessment of what we believe is achievable in the next twelve months. If the fit is right on both sides, we scope a body of work, grant research, proposal authoring, campaign strategy, fundraising coaching, or a combined retainer, and begin. Communication is direct, deadlines are real, and the work is always led by Vicky personally.

If you are building something that matters and you have been told that funding is the bottleneck, we would like to hear about it. Vicky accepts a small number of new engagements each quarter to keep the quality of work uncompromised.

Mission statement

To help visionaries secure funding with confidence, through rigorous research, honest writing, and a long-term commitment to the organizations and creators we serve.
